PROGRAM
Day 1: Transfer from Kolkata to Sundarbans National Park & Visit Sajnekhali Watch Tower
- Start your journey from Kolkata to Sundarbans National Park1. The journey is approximately 2-3 hours by road.
- Upon arrival, check into your accommodation. You may choose to stay at the Sundarban Jungle Camp, an eco-friendly resort.
- In the afternoon, visit the Sajnekhali Watch Tower. This watchtower is located within the Sundarbans Tiger Reserve and offers spectacular views of the surrounding mangrove forests and waterways. It’s a prime spot for bird watchers and wildlife enthusiasts.
Day 2: Visit the Watch Towers of Burirdabri & Jhingakhali
- Start your day with a visit to the Burirdabri Watch Tower. This watchtower is known for its mud walk and mangrove cage trail leading to the Raimongal View Point. You can observe ground fauna such as snails, crabs, and molluscs closely during the mud walk.
- In the afternoon, head to the Jhingekhali Watch Tower. This watchtower is located on the eastern part of the Indian Sundarbans and can accommodate 20 persons at a time.
Day 3: Visit Sundarbans National Park, the Narrow Creeks and Canals of the Sundarbans Delta, and the Dobanki Canopy Walk and Watchtower
- Spend the day exploring the Sundarbans National Park. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including the Royal Bengal Tiger, saltwater crocodile, wild boars, and a variety of birds.
- Enjoy a boat ride through the narrow creeks and canals of the Sundarbans Delta.
- In the afternoon, visit the Dobanki Watch Tower. This watchtower offers a unique experience with a half-kilometer long canopy walk, about 20 ft from the ground8. The sweet water pond nearby attracts tigers, deer, and other wildlife.
Day 4: Visit Sundarbans National Park, the Sundarbans Delta, and the Sudhanyakhali Watchtower
- Continue exploring the Sundarbans National Park and the Sundarbans Delta. The delta is formed by the sediments deposited by the Ganges, Brahmaputra, and Meghna rivers.
- In the afternoon, visit the Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower. This watchtower stands amidst the dense forests of the Sundarbans and offers panoramic views of the forest. It’s known to offer sightings of tigers, axis deer, crocodiles, and various species of birds.
- Your Sundarbans tour ends here. Return to Kolkata with unforgettable memories of the world’s largest mangrove forest.

Sunderban National Park is a Tiger and Biosphere Reserve located on the Ganges Delta in West Bengal. It’s known for its mangrove forest and diverse wildlife, including Bengal tigers, saltwater crocodiles, wild boars, foxes, leopard cats, turtles, Ganges river dolphins, and various bird species
The park is open throughout the year, but the most pleasant weather and highest chances of animal sightings are between September to March
For a single day tour to Sundarbans covering Sajnekhali, Sudhayakhali & DoBanki Watch Towers the entry charges are as follows. Boat Entry To Jungle Rs 500 for Indians & Rs 1000 for Non Indians. Per Head Entry Charges for Indians is Rs 100 & Rs 200 for Non Indians. Guide Charges Is Rs 500 for Indians and for Non Indians It is Rs 1000/-
