Welcome to my Seven Destination Tour and Travel’s blog about Kerala, India’s stunning Kovalam, Alleppey, and Munnar. For everyone who plans to visit these gorgeous locations, I will share my experiences, advice, and ideas in this blog.

Day 1: Transfer from Cochin to Munnar after arrival.
We arrived in Kochi, a city in South-Western India, on the first day of our journey. After a little rest, we were driven to Munnar, a hill town in Kerala’s Western Ghats. The drive to Munnar was gorgeous, offering sweeping vistas of the region’s stunning mountains and lush, green tea estates. We checked into our hotel, which had a stunning view of the tea gardens, when we arrived. Following a traditional lunch in Kerala, we rested for a while before setting out on a walk to discover the neighborhood. We dined at a neighbourhood eatery before retiring for the evening.

Day 2: Munnar sightseeing
We got up early the next day to take in Munnar’s breathtaking natural splendour. We went to Mattupetty Dam, which is about 13 kilometres outside of Munnar and has stunning vistas of hills and tea estates. The dam is surrounded by verdant forests, making it the perfect vacation spot for those who love the outdoors. We also went to Echo Point, a well-liked spot famous for its organic echo phenomena. The sound of our voices coming back to us was amazing. We went to the Tea Museum later in the day to learn about the development of Munnar’s tea gardens and the production of tea. The highest point in Munnar, Top Station, where we completed the day, gives sweeping views of the valley. It was the ideal location to watch the sunset and the vista from the top was spectacular.

Travel to Alleppey on Day 3 and a Houseboat Cruise
We departed for Alleppey, a destination renowned for its tranquil backwaters and houseboat rides, on the third day. Our trip across the backwaters began after we settled onto a houseboat, passing by villages, rice farms, and coconut plantations. The 900 km of interconnecting canals, lagoons, and lakes that make up Alleppey’s backwaters make it one of Kerala’s most popular tourist sites. We relished the picturesque splendour of the backwaters and had a unique experience on the houseboat ride. On board, we enjoyed a lovely meal before spending the afternoon admiring the backwaters’ setting sun.

Day 5: Kovalam sightseeing
On the fifth day, we travelled to Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Trivandrum, which is around 15 kilometres away from Kovalam. The temple is devoted to Lord Vishnu and is distinguished by its Dravidian style construction. We also went to the Napier Museum, a stunning gallery right in the middle of the city. The museum is a great site for history aficionados because it has a huge collection of historical and archaeological artefacts. Later on in the day, we went to the magnificent Kovalam Lighthouse.

These are some of my personal observations and suggestions with reference to tours of Munnar, Alleppey, and Kovalam:
Munnar:
Take a guided tour of the tea gardens in Munnar to learn more about the history and method of brewing tea. The tea gardens are a must-see sight in Munnar.
The Top Station viewpoint provides some of the valley’s most breathtaking vistas, but getting there requires a challenging ascent. Carry enough water and snacks for the travel, and wear comfortable shoes.
The Tea Museum is a fantastic resource for information on the lengthy history of tea in Kerala and the various varieties grown there. Don’t forget to stay for the tea sampling at the end of the tour!

Alleppey:
A houseboat tour through Alleppey’s backwaters is an unforgettable experience. For a more private and intimate experience, I advise renting a private houseboat.
Don’t pass up the opportunity to sample some of the mouthwatering regional seafood delicacies, including fish fry and prawn curry.
The Alleppey local markets offer a fantastic opportunity to purchase various souvenirs and handicrafts created by regional artisans.

Kovalam:
Although Kovalam Beach is a well-liked vacation spot, it may get rather busy during the summer. Check out the surrounding beaches of Lighthouse Beach and Samudra Beach if you’re searching for a more sedate and private beach.
Due to its magnificent architectural and historical significance, the Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Trivandrum is a popular tourist destination. Be sure to respect the laws and regulations of the temple and to dress appropriately.
Kovalam is renowned for its spa services and Ayurveda therapies. For a genuinely soothing and refreshing experience, I strongly advise getting a massage or other spa service.
