Nubra Valley Trails with Leh and Pangong – 6 Nights 7 Days Group Holiday
This group holiday package takes you on a journey through the breathtaking landscapes of Leh, Nubra Valley, and Pangong.
The package includes comfortable hotel accommodations, meals (breakfast and dinner), sightseeing as per the itinerary, and transport by private vehicle. The holiday planning is done with expertise and a personal touch, offering flexibility of tailor-made experiences.
Day 1: Arrival Leh Arrive at Leh Airport, transfer to hotel. Rest, acclimatize, and enjoy lunch & dinner. Overnight at Casa Ladakh/Alpine Ladakh/Hotel Nangsay/Hotel Naro or similar.
Day 2: Sham Valley Tour Post breakfast, drive along the Indus river to Sangam. Visit Gurdwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, Hall of Fame, and Shanti Stupa. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley Travel to Nubra Valley via Khardungla. Enjoy ATV ride, visit Hunder sand dunes and Bactrian camels. Overnight at Sahara Camp/Nubra Escape/Ladakh Elysium Camp or similar.
Day 4: Excursion to Turtuk Explore Turtuk, a charming village with a fascinating history. Overnight at the camp.
Day 5: Nubra to Pangong Travel to Pangong Lake via Agham & Shyok village. Enjoy the scenic beauty and leisure time. Overnight at Alpine Cottage/Full Moon Cottage/Native Cottage/P3 Camp or similar.
Day 6: Pangong to Leh Return to Leh, visiting Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace en-route. Overnight at Casa Ladakh/Alpine Ladakh/Hotel Nangsay/Hotel Naro or similar.
Day 7: Departure from Leh Transfer to Leh airport for your onward journey.
The tour typically lasts for 7 days, covering Leh, Alchi, Nubra Valley, and Pangong Lake. The journey begins with sightseeing in Leh, followed by a visit to Alchi. The next stop is Nubra Valley, where you can enjoy a camel ride on the white sand dunes. The tour concludes with camping near Pangong Lake.
There are two direct routes from Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake. The first route is Diskit – Khalsar – Agham – Shyok – Durbuk – Tangtse – Spangmik (Pangong Lake), which is about 162 kilometers. The second route is Diskit – Khalsar – Agham – Wari La Pass – Shakti – Chang La – Durbuk – Tangtse – Spangmik (Pangong Lake), which is about 222 kilometers.
The tour includes sightseeing in Leh, exploring popular Leh monasteries like Hemis, Thiksey, and Hunder, driving past Khardung La, and shopping for wooden handicrafts in Leh markets. You can also enjoy a camel ride in the Nubra Valley and camping near Pangong Lake.
On the first day, you will arrive in Leh and transfer to the hotel. You should take complete rest for the day for acclimatization to the high altitude of Leh (11,500 ft / 3500 mtrs)
The best time to visit Leh, Nubra Valley, and Pangong is during the summer months from April to June when the weather is pleasant and the roads are clear.
Given the high altitude and cold weather, it’s recommended to pack warm clothing, sunblock, sunglasses, a hat, comfortable shoes for trekking, and any personal medication you might need.
