Day 1: Arrival in Rajkot
Welcome to Rajkot! Once the capital of the princely state of Saurashtra, Rajkot has a rich history and vibrant culture. It was also associated with Mahatma Gandhi, who lived here for several years. After your arrival, transfer to your hotel.
Sightseeing in Rajkot:
- Karba Gandhi No Delo / Mahatma Gandhi House: Visit the house where Mahatma Gandhi lived from the age of six. The Mahatma’s passion for handloom is preserved in the form of a small weaving school.
- Watson Museum: Explore this museum commemorating the work of Colonel John Watson, a political agent from 1886 to 1889. It houses a collection of precious objects from the colonial period, human history, and Rajkot’s history.
- Rajkumar College: Discover this world-famous college, established in the 19th century by the British for the education of Indian princes.

Day 2: Drive to Porbandar
After breakfast, drive to Porbandar. This coastal heritage town in Gujarat is associated with Lord Krishna’s childhood friend Sudama and is described in Skanda Purana as Sudamapuri and Ashmavati. Porbandar was also the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi.
Sightseeing in Porbandar:
- Darbargadh: Explore the fortified palace built by Rana Sartanji, featuring a huge carved stone entrance gate.
- Kirti Mandir: Visit the house of Mahatma Gandhi and Kasturba, now a small museum with a Gandhian library and a prayer hall.
- Bharat Mandir Hall: Admire the large relief map of India on the floor and bas reliefs of heroes from Hindu legends on the pillars.
- Huzoor Palace: Explore this sprawling palace built in the European style, overlooking the sea.
- Sartanji Choro: Discover the three-storey summer pavilion with images of musicians and profusely carved foliated arches.

Day 3: Drive to Bhavnagar
After breakfast, drive to Bhavnagar. This city, founded by Bhavsinhji Gohil in 1723 AD, is known for its maritime trade potential and association with Mahatma Gandhi.
Sightseeing in Bhavnagar:
- The Gandhi Smriti and Barton Museum: Explore this museum with a good collection of Gandhi memorabilia.
- Gaurishanker Lake: Enjoy a beautiful picnic spot near the lake.
- Takhteshwar Temple: Visit this hilltop temple for panoramic views.
- Lock Gate: Observe the first of its kind in Gujarat, impounding sea water to keep ships afloat during low tide.

Day 4: Drive to Ahmedabad via Lothal
After breakfast, drive to Ahmedabad. En route, visit Lothal, a perfect place to get an insight into the Indus Valley civilization. Explore the massive dockyard, workshops, and more.
Arrive in Ahmedabad and transfer to your hotel.

Day 5: Ahmedabad City Tour
After breakfast, explore Ahmedabad:
- Gandhi Ashram: Visit the peaceful retreat where Mahatma Gandhi lived during India’s freedom movement.
- Sidi Sayed Mosque: Admire the exquisite stone window tracery.
- Jumma Masjid: Explore the Friday mosque built by Sultan Ahmed Shah.
- Teen Darwaja: Observe the triple-arched gateway.
- Hutheesingh Jain Temple: Visit this ornate Jain temple.
- Adalaj Step-well: Explore the intricately carved step-well.
- Akshardham: Learn about Lord Swaminarayan’s pilgrimage and visit the Swaminarayan temple in Gandhinagar.
- Evening Market at Law Garden: Enjoy beautiful textile handicrafts of Gujarat.

Day 6: Departure from Ahmedabad
